Reinforced build with wear protection for abrasive minerals, cement and clinker dust.
Abrasive duty is where light valves fail: the rotor tips wear, clearance opens, leakage rises and the valve starts to jam. The heavy-duty range uses a thicker housing, a larger shaft and bearings, and a choice of replaceable wear protection at the points that actually wear — rotor tips, housing bore and the inlet throat. It is built for cement, clinker, quartz, alumina and mineral concentrate service.
Thicker section fabricated housing with replaceable bore liner and reinforced flanges.
Heavy 8-vane rotor with bolted or welded wear strips; hard-facing and ceramic options.
Oversized shaft with heavy-duty spherical roller bearings in a greased, sealed housing.
Multi-ring packing with purge port; mechanical seal option for high dust load.
Geared motor sized with starting torque margin, chain drive with shear-pin protection.

Values shown are typical for this product family. Final dimensions, materials and performance are confirmed on the approved drawing before production.
Every valve in this range can be built to your drawing: face-to-face length, flange pattern, rotor profile, material grade and drive arrangement. Send your drawing and we will quote against it.
Service life depends on the material, the particle shape and the rotor speed. Rather than quote a number, we size the wear protection to your duty and supply the wear parts as separately orderable items so they can be replaced without scrapping the valve.
In most cases yes. We need the original drawings or a measured survey of the housing bore, shaft and flange pattern, and we will quote a re-lined rotor and housing with restored clearances.
Abrasive material that also packs is the hardest case. We would normally increase pocket volume, reduce rotor speed and fit a torque limiter, and in some cases recommend a different discharge principle altogether — we will say so at enquiry stage.
