Standard Rotary Airlock Valve
General-purpose airlock for gravity discharge of free-flowing powders and granules.
LQ-SS · Product
304 / 316L construction for corrosive powders, chemicals and washdown areas.
Where carbon steel would corrode or contaminate the product, the valve is built in 304 or 316L stainless steel with machined contact surfaces and a finish suited to the duty. This range is specified for chemical powders, pigments, food-adjacent ingredients and washdown areas, and can be supplied with a quick-release rotor for cleaning access.
Stainless fabricated or cast housing, pickled and passivated; internal weld seams ground flush on request.
Stainless open or closed rotor, machined and polished; quick-withdrawal rotor option for cleaning.
Stainless shaft with outboard stainless or sealed bearing housings.
Food-grade packing or mechanical seal; air purge for fine powders.
Stainless or painted geared motor, washdown-rated on request.

Every valve in this range can be built to your drawing: face-to-face length, flange pattern, rotor profile, material grade and drive arrangement. Send your drawing and we will quote against it.
We build to your dimensional and finish requirements, but we do not claim food or pharmaceutical certification for this range. If your process needs certified sanitary design, tell us the standard you must meet and we will say clearly whether we can meet it.
A quick-release rotor and hinged covers give access for manual cleaning. True CIP design requires specific internal geometry and drainability, which we would review with your process engineer.
Yes. Mill certificates for the specified grades can be supplied with the order; state the requirement on your enquiry.
